Matt Flinner teaches private mandolin lessons via Skype (or AIM or iChat) to students anywhere in the world. It’s the next best thing to being there! And you can stay in the comfort of your own living room.
Each session includes PDFs of the materials in standard music notation and tablature and an mp3 of Matt playing the material slowly. These materials will be emailed to you after each lesson.
To participate in online lessons, you will need:
1. A computer (Mac or PC)
2. A good broadband internet connection (Cable or DSL)
3. A web camera with a built in microphone (many laptop and desktop computers now come with built in webcams and microphones)
4. A Skype account, or AIM (for PC users) or iChat (for Mac users) account. Any of these are completely free and easy to use.
5. A PayPal account, if possible. This is the most convenient way to make payments for lessons, but you can also just send a check if you’d prefer, or let us know if there’s another payment method you’d prefer.
Rates are $60 per hour lesson or $35 per half hour lesson. Discounts are provided for block-booking: $220 per group of four one hour lessons and $120 per group of four 30 minute lessons. Weekly lessons are preferred (partly for ease of scheduling), but students can determine their own frequency of lessons. To schedule a lesson, or if you have any questions, please feel free to email Matt here.
